I grew up in New Jersey and spent my childhood playing outside for hours on end—until the sun went down—without a cell phone! I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life, so I chose graphic design based on my knack for organization and love for art and design.
I started working in my teens and wore many hats before I found my passions. My most memorable role started when I was 13 years old. At the time, who knew what an impact working on an ice cream truck would be?! Yet, for 13 seasons, every late spring into early fall, I worked side by side with the owner and became his right hand… woman. Once I was old enough to drive, I began loading the truck at the factory and eventually took over the route. We expanded the business by adding two additional trucks. I learned every aspect of the industry and turned it into a thriving business.
I made all of my jobs fun and learned skills to help me walk away with real-life experience from each one. I made many connections with people that I still work closely with to
this day.
I attended Ramapo College and earned my BA in Communications and Graphic Design,
a Web Design Certification from Bergen Community College. In 2011, I followed my 2nd passion and received my Personal Training Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Throughout my youth, I had a roller coaster ride with weight gain and
I learned how to combat that struggle. I wanted to share this knowledge with everyone who desired to feel better mentally and physically.
I got my first Graphic Design role at People’s Education, an educational publishing company. During my first week in, I quickly realized college did not prepare me for the real world. Fortunately, the art director and design team were very supportive and guided me into becoming a successful junior designer. After a year of working there, they had mass lay-offs. Two weeks later, I found myself working at a small art studio, Two by Two Design. I worked very closely with the owner and learned every aspect of running a small design studio. I had meetings with clients, did various design projects for small scale businesses to large corporations, administration tasks, sales, updated the website artwork and trained interns. From there, I moved onto a fast paced marketing agency, LS Direct Marketing in New York, where I spent 13 wonderful years. I worked closely with data, creative, sales and clients designing various creative materials for a slew a larger scale corporations. During that time, I had 2 sweet boys and 2 weeks after my 2nd boy was born, Covid happened. The agency temporarily slowed down and I took a year off. During that time, I built up more of my own freelance clients in graphic design and personal training. I enjoyed and preferred the flexibility with two little boys at home. That is when I decided to take a leap of faith and go solo and relocate to Arizona for more sunshine!
